Dope Stars Inc...

and i quote:
DOPE STARS INC SIGNS WITH TRISOL, METROPOLIS AND SUBSOUND RECORDS FOR THE NEW ALBUM.
Hell'o netrunners of the 21th century. Today we announce an important news for the future of Dope Stars Inc., something that will defintively give us more strength and support to spread the infection with the new album.
To build a killer playground for the new album, we've recently upgraded our gears with a new set of lethal weapons not only for the album production, but also for it's distribution and promotion. So here we announce we have just signed a deal with Trisol Music Group for Europe, Metropolis Records in USA/Canada and Subsound Records for Italy for the release of the album in each territory. This means our new album will be supported by more than one label helping us to spread the name and music of Dope Stars Inc. worldwide and also giving us the opportunity for an intense album promotion.
This will open also more opportunites for us to book an International tour after the next album. We will be touring extensively after the release that is scheduled for this spring (April/May), If you are a promoter interested in booking a show for the upcoming tour please write to booking@dopestarsinc.com or if you are a fan and want us to come and play at your city please request us on eventful.com
More updates regarding the new album production and details will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Epochate...

so Epochate's official site is up, with three songs to preview.

I am really digging "Substantia", which is also available on the band's myspace page. I think I'll start off the next podcast with it.

and while you are clicking on links, make sure to check out Machine Room, who did the art work for the album. I really like the guy's stuff, and am (impatiently) waiting for him to set up his online store, so i can get a few prints.

Epochate - Chronicles Of A Dying Era:
Formed by Victor Love (Dope Stars Inc.) and Noras Blake (Spineflesh/Edenyzed), Epochate is a look at the eternal struggle generated by thought and power. Their debut album, Chronicles Of A Dying Era, is a mix of industrial rock with heavy and concrete orchestrations, cutting edge guitars and killer vocals. Delivering a sound that has yet to be explored, the concept album brings about an entirely new dimension of musical experience. Centering round the decline of mankind, Chronicles Of A Dying Era is a report of the attempts, defeats and victories of the human race through an age of wars, violence and arrogance. The strength of music, thoughts and ideals spawned a visually stunning 24 page booklet! Epochate is the journey of mankind across philosophies, ideals and creed.

"As the world fades into oblivion, unable to endure the weight of its arrogant sovereigns, all we can do is wait for the inevitable to come and the balance to be restored at the end of this dying era. Epochate is not a new beginning. Epochate is the end."

Podcasting podcasting podcasting...

gotta admit, there is something intriguing about being in direct contact with people this way. I like the idea of being able to tell you all what is going on as it goes on.

Boldy stepping into 2004...

I decided to start a Metropolis Records blog page, we'll see how it goes.

Holidays are approaching, and we are busily preparing our 2009 release schedule. So far, we have January and February set, with releases from Combichrist, Epochate, Babyland, Soman, De/Vision, and Seabound.
lots more in the works.

I started doing some podcasting stuff, don't have the mystical RSS feed thing figured out, but its available to listen to in mp3 format HERE.

I'll be putting up release info for all the upcoming releases soon.

all the best,
Jim
